Expansion of the Hazardous Materials Logistics Centre in Mainhausen successfully completed
New Storage Capacities Officially in Operation Since May 2026

With the successful completion of the expansion at the Mainhausen site, National Transport Service GmbH (NTS) has reached the next milestone in the development of its hazardous materials and warehouse logistics. The expansion of the hazardous materials logistics centre was completed on schedule on 12 May 2026. From 18 May 2026, the first goods were already being stored in the new expansion area.

This expansion allows NTS to specifically increase its existing capacities to meet the growing demands of modern supply chains, hazardous materials logistics and specialised storage solutions.

More Capacity for Complex Logistics and Hazardous Materials Requirements

With the expansion of the Mainhausen site, NTS is responding to the growing demand for safe, flexible and high-performance storage and handling solutions.

The expansion comprises additional modern warehouse and logistics space, specifically designed for demanding goods structures and sensitive products.

These include, among others:

  • Storage of hazardous materials across various classes
  • Storage of lithium-ion batteries
  • Flexible warehouse and handling processes
  • Modern logistics and goods flow management
  • Scalable storage capacities for industry and retail

The new capacities allow goods flows to be managed even more efficiently and supply chains to be secured with greater flexibility.

Investment in Modern Hazardous Materials and Warehouse Logistics

With this expansion, NTS strengthens its position as a specialised logistics partner for industry, retail, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive and energy-related sectors.

From the start of construction in early 2025, the objective was clearly defined: to create more space — for growth, safety and the increasing demands of modern logistics processes.

With the completion of the expansion, customers now have access to additional capacities for:

  • Hazardous materials logistics
  • Pharmaceutical logistics
  • Lithium-ion batteries
  • Warehouse logistics
  • Bonded warehousing
  • Temperature-controlled storage 15° – 25°C
  • Flexible handling processes
  • Modern supply chain requirements

Modern Infrastructure for Growing Market Demands

Rising demands in terms of delivery speed, storage capacities and safe hazardous materials processes are fundamentally changing the logistics industry.

With the expanded Mainhausen site, NTS is investing specifically in:

  • Modern warehouse infrastructure
  • Safe hazardous materials storage
  • Flexible logistics processes
  • Resilient supply chain structures
  • Scalable capacities for dynamic markets
  • Flexible system integrations

The new expansion area has been designed according to modern safety and process standards and enables efficient integration into existing warehouse and transport processes.

Future-Proof Logistics Solutions with NTS

The successful commissioning of the expansion marks another important step in the strategic development of National Transport Service GmbH (NTS).

With modern warehouse space, high logistical flexibility and specialised hazardous materials expertise, NTS is opening up new possibilities for companies with demanding logistics and storage requirements.

We would like to thank everyone involved for the successful completion of this project and look forward to making the expanded capacities available to our customers immediately.
